A cow with one eye dubbed “cyclops” has been born in India.
The rare calf was born in Batagaon village, Odisha, on 7 February.
According to stunned the locals, the beast is akin to a mythical creature, linked to the giant one-eyed creatures in Greek and Roman mythology.
Close up shots show the calf has a mouth and normal tongue but only one eye in the centre of its head.
Its mother doesn’t appear to have any facial or bodily differences.
In a video taken of the unique bovine, villagers can be seen holding the young white cow while it is licked by its mother.
Later, they feed spoonfuls of milk to the calf to try to build up its strength.
People in the village were amazed by the calf and gathered to see it, bringing children along to ogle the beast.
