A super-fit grandmother says she gets mistaken for a model in the gym and fellow gym-goers say she has the "perfect body". Charlene Farnsworth, 52, lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband of 22 years, Mike Farnsworth, 51, where she spends half her time in bikinis showing off her super toned body. Despite being close to her golden years, Charlene – who is a mother-of-two and grandmother-of-one – is a keen bodybuilder and spends up to six days a week working out, focusing mainly on weightlifting. When she's not in the gym, she can often be found showcasing her toned figure on Instagram, where she has 218,000 followers. The fitness savant has droves of young fans – including men half her age – but is happily married. "People often tell me that I look younger than my age but I’m pretty sure its just because of my body," Charlene told Jam Press. "I’m not the shy girl I use to be because I feel good in my skin. "When I'm in the gym I have my headphones on and I am super focused on my workout. "But I do get people approach me. They ask whether I'm a fitness model or if I'm training for something specifically. "Women at the gym are great and they often compliment me. "They will tell me that I have the perfect body and ask how I do it. "A few have even said they hope to get the results I've managed to achieve." Charlene has gone on to dabble in modelling thanks to her incredible physique and is even studying to become a personal trainer.

She credits her husband Mike for being extremely supportive of her fitness journey – and reveals that since dedicating herself to bodybuilding, she is now having the best sex of her life.

She added: “My husband is extremely proud of my accomplishments.

“He loves the fact that I’ve become so fit and confident.

“He deals with the admirers very well, knowing that he is the one that gets to go through life by my side.

“When I was less confident, I would worry that I wasn’t good enough, not that my husband ever made me feel that way, it was my own issue.

“Now that I feel so good in my own skin, I never doubt myself.

“I definitely feel sexier naked now.”

Charlene also revealed her gruelling fitness routine – here’s how the hot grandma got her washboard abs.

THE HOT GRANDMA WORKOUT & DIET

Charlene spends five to six days a week in the gym, focusing mainly on weightlifting for up to three hours.

She also does cardio a couple of times a week for roughly 20-30 minutes.

The grandmother said: “I work my legs three days a week and split my upper body three days of the week.

“I lift heavy as much as possible, although I have developed an injury in my right shoulder and elbow which has, unfortunately, started to affect my heavy lifting.

I would say weightlifting is the best way to stay fit and lean.”
