A TikToker and artist has revealed her latest miniature masterpiece – a shrine for one of the most iconic names in history.
Sarah Elly, 30, from Los Angeles, US, has always had a passion for art, as well as a strong admiration for Princess Diana.
Growing up, she recalls looking up to the iconic royal for using her voice to help on causes she believed in and claims her “obsession” led to her requesting to be called Diana instead of Sarah.
On 31 August 2022, the UK will be celebrating the life of Princess Diana on the 25th anniversary of her tragic passing.
In a bid to express her esteem, Sarah decided to use her artistic skills and create a miniature shrine in honour of the royal – complete with portraits, a crown and a London black cab.
As she enjoys the “simplicity” of sharing the of her projects on TikTok, she uploaded a clip documenting the process, where she has racked up 8,000 views and over 2,000 likes.
In the clip, she begins with mixing various paints and decorating a small wooden “house” with a gold design.
She prints out her favourite snaps of Princess Diana and cuts them to size, before placing them in handmade miniature golden frames.
Sarah positions a fireplace atop a regal red piece of carpet, she accents the shrine with a Union Jack flag and candle, as well as some biscuits and tea upon the mantlepiece.
From tiny flames made from paper, to sticks turned into kindling and a diamante crown which sits upon a picture of Diana herself – it’s clear there was a focus on attention to detail.
Users shared their reactions in the comments, with some also commenting on their admiration for the Princess.

“Princess Diana’s shrine is part of a series of shrines to women I have loved and admired,” Sarah told NeedToKnow.Online.
“I admired both her style and the way she used her voice to help causes she believed in.
“I had a fake version of her engagement ring and I used to love wearing it as a kid when I played and made everyone call me Diana.
“I think art is all I’ve ever been truly interested in, so the passion goes back to early memories.
“I took as many fine art electives as I could during grade school and then went on to a university that specialises in art.
“I like the simplicity of sharing my process on TikTok and often when people see the final product, it’s hard to imagine how something came to exist.”
Using shadow boxes, miniature frames and hand crafted furniture, she aims to ensure the theme makes sense for the person who it’s for.
However, there’s lots of tedious painting, gluing and working with tweezers involved – but she says it’s all worth it for the response.
She added: “She is beloved, but there’s no surprise there.
“It was such a loss to the world [after she passed] and I plan on celebrating her anniversary wearing my best biker shorts and an ivy league crew neck“
