A man was spotted walking along the street with a suspected stolen coffin on his back. He carried the cumbersome casket on his shoulder in broad daylight.
The suspected thief carried the coffin through the streets of Emiliano Zapata, located south of the Mexican capital Mexico City.
He is accused of stealing the casket from a cemetery in the nearby town of El Capiri on Monday (22 Apr).

However, the man was stopped by the cops while lugging the coffin home, as reported by Need To Know.
When asked what he was doing with the wooden overcoat, he said: “No one was using it at the time.”
He added: “I need it more so I decided to take it.”
When he was unable to provide proof that he was the owner of the casket, the man was promptly placed under arrest.
He was then sent before the Public Ministry to face charges.
One local joked: “He’s the Jeffrey Dahmer of Morelos.”
Another commented: “Just another day in Mexico.”
Luis said: “It’s a shame he didn’t go to the council or a funeral home.
“Many times they have programmes where they give you a spare coffin to use.”
