A fifteen-year-old boy has died after doctors removed 56 foreign objects from his stomach – including batteries, chains, razor blade fragments and screws.
Aditya Sharma from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh in India, passed away after doctors at Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi conducted a complex five-hour surgery to remove the items.
During the operation, objects weighing 350 grams were removed, as reported by Need To Know.

But an infection reportedly spread to his intestine, causing it to burst.
Despite the presence of the objects in his stomach, there was no sign of injury in the boy’s throat or mouth.
The doctors of Safdarjung Hospital have said his death should be investigated.
Aditya’s health issues began on 13 October when he started experiencing shortness of breath and discomfort.
He died on 28 October, two weeks after his symptoms first appeared.
