In the video, there is lots of commotion as people rush around the mountain of bricks and dust.
Authorities can be seen at the scene, and appear to have climbed through gaps to find survivors.
One man, in a uniform, manages to rescue a young girl and places her on a stretcher.
She can be seen screwing up her face with emotion, as she is visibly in pain from her injuries.
A few more men can be seen tirelessly searching through the ruins, even risking their own lives so that they can help others.
Another clip from nearby shows a man walking to the side of the rubble, and he appears to be carrying a child.
Several people were left injured including four minors, and a 63-year-old woman tragically lost her life.
The collapse prompted the evacuation of 17 families, made up of 59 individuals in total, as reported by Need To Know.
Authorities were forced to evacuate a second building next to it, as it threatened to give way.
The incident took place on 28 November in the Campo Alegre neighbourhood in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Teams from the Civil Defence, Red Cross, and the Rescue Police operated in the area.
They arrived equipped with specialised machinery and trained dogs so that they could remove debris and locate the missing people.
The incident has generated concern in the community and the situation is even being evaluated to see if the surrounding buildings should be evacuated to avoid accidents.
