The husband of a dissatisfied supermarket worker “tried to kill” her manager by bashing him over the head with a shovel.
CCTV footage showed Danielson Martins Paiva walking towards the gardening section before he took the tool off the display.
He strolled through the busy store and closed in on the manager.

Victim Claudio Soares dos Santos stopped, facing a display case, and Paiva, 29, sensed his opportunity.
He swung the shovel like a baseball bat and struck the manager in the back of the head.
Dos Santos, 40, appeared to pass out as he dropped his phone, toppled forward, and hit the hard floor.
He quickly regained consciousness but remained on his back in pain as his colleagues put Paiva in a headlock.
The man was taken away by security as the footage ends.
Paiva was arrested after the assault on Saturday (18 Jan) in Sinop, north west of Brasilia, Brazil.
Police chief Sérgio Ribeiro said: “The suspect was questioned and stated that he went there to confront the man but thought he was too big.
“It was a cowardly act. He got scared and delivered a blow that could have been fatal while the victim’s back was turned.”
Paiva revealed that his wife, who works at the supermarket, had complained about work demands and being denied time off.
This, he told the police, had motivated him to confront her boss.
Dos Santos has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
He recalled how he passed out after the blow and revealed how his phone saved his life.
The manager told local media: “I never imagined something like this could happen.
“I didn’t leave the hospital until late Sunday.
“He was really trying to kill me, but what saved me was my phone.
“It shattered inside my ear, and I had to get stitches.
“But the phone protected me from the full force of the blow.”
Paiva was remanded into custody following a hearing on Sunday (19 Jan), as reported by Need To Know.
He is facing charges of attempted murder.
