A mum has sparked controversy after calling for children to be banned from restaurants throughout the festive period.
While it’s a time for family and celebration for most, Carla Bellucci believes the kids “cause chaos” and their parents “can’t control them” – ruining her dining experience.
The mum-of-four suggested, instead, they should “stick to McDonald’s” so as not to ruin her fun – and particularly over the festive period when costs are high, and the kids are off school.

Despite having young children herself – including a daughter, Blu, aged four – Carla thinks the harsh measure should be put into place before the holidays.
“All children should be banned from restaurants – especially over the Christmas period,” the 44-year-old, from Hertfordshire, told Need To Know.

“If you’re spending good money to eat out, you should be able to do it in peace.
“I think kids get bored, go crazy and cause chaos – and their parents can’t control them.
“People go out wanting a good time, and they should be entitled to that without children.
“Adults should be able to eat, drink and get merry in peace, especially at Christmastime when everything is so expensive.
“If I’m picking up a £500 bill, I want to be able to eat and enjoy the food and drink – not see some loud-mouthed parents shouting at their kids across the table.
“Who wants screaming, snotty-nosed kids running around?
“Let’s face it, it’s awful and so unfair.”

And Carla has no qualms about confronting fellow parents when she sees them bring their children to fancy restaurants.
She said: “Mums have gone mental when I share my opinion.
“Some parents have argued back, but I don’t care.
“I have told people in the past to please control their child – it doesn’t go down well.
“They say I’m unbelievable – but look at the bigger picture: would you want a screaming child having a meltdown whilst you are eating a nice steak and champagne? No way.
“It’s totally gutting and a waste of money.
“And the poor kids aren’t having fun either.”

While Carla has four children of her own, she opts to take them to places she deems more suitable for the family, including McDonald’s and Nando’s.
She said: “There are places for adults to eat, and there are places for children to eat – that’s why we have fast food chains like McDonald’s, KFC and Burger King.
“I take my kids to McDonald’s and Nando’s.
“I’d never take Blu for a posh meal because I know she would be bored after 10 minutes – and I wouldn’t make that other adult’s problem.”
