An influencer has paid to have hyaluronic acid applied to her private parts because she “didn’t like the size” – as a doctor issues a warning against the extreme method.

Sabrina Low is no stranger to controversy – the influencer has hit headlines in the past for dyeing her dog pink to match her outfit.

The 23-year-old has once again left her fans questioning her choices after claiming to have spent £15,700 ($20,000 USD) to make her vulva “bigger”.

“The size of my vulva has always bothered me,” Sabrina told Need To Know.

“While many choose to reduce their vaginal lips, I decided to apply hyaluronic acid to enlarge them.

“When I found out that it was possible to apply hyaluronic acid to enlarge it, I didn’t think twice about doing it.

“Especially as it had always bothered me.”

The procedure involves the application of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the body that is often used to fill and increase volume in various areas.

The technique is similar to some facial treatments, where the same ingredient can be injected to add volume.

Sabrina, who is from Brazil, says the procedure was relatively quick, lasting around 30 minutes.

It was also performed under local anaesthesia to minimise discomfort.

She said: “I knew I would have to go through a period of recovery, but everything went very smoothly.

“It is common to feel slight swelling and discomfort in the treated area in the first few days, but my symptoms disappeared within a week.

“I also followed all medical recommendations, including avoiding intense physical activity and sexual intercourse for a week.

“But it was worth every moment.”

WHAT THE DOCTOR SAYS

Mr Tunc Tiryaki, a consultant dermatologist at the Cadogan Clinic in London and the Chair of the Humanitarian Programs of ISAPS, has shared his thoughts.

He said: “Using hyaluronic acid for vaginal enhancement carries several risks including infection, allergic reactions and asymmetry.

“There’s also the possibility of lumps or irregularities forming in the treated area.

“Whilst rare, the body may reabsorb the filler unevenly, requiring additional treatments.

“Over time, the results are temporary, necessitating repeat procedures to maintain the desired effect.

“Fat transfer offers a more natural and long-lasting solution compared to hyaluronic acid, as it uses the patient’s own tissue, reducing the risk of allergic reactions.”

The doctor believes that the decision to undergo a procedure like this, especially in such a personal area, reflects a desire to feel more comfortable in one’s own skin.

He added: “Hyaluronic acid, being a substance naturally found in the body, offers a less invasive option for those looking to enhance their appearance in a subtle yet effective way.

“The fact that the procedure is quick and done under local anaesthesia likely adds to its appeal, making it a viable choice for those who wish to make changes without a long recovery period.

“It’s important to remember that cosmetic procedures, especially those involving sensitive areas, are deeply personal decisions, and the most important outcome is that the individual feels more confident and content with their body.”
