With Brits across the nation making a start on their advent calendars people are already gearing up for their Christmas tipples.

But if you fancy combining the two this year then this could be the perfect calendar for you.

Seven Bro7hers have launched their exclusive Christmas countdown beer calendar.

The calendar is filled with a whopping 24 cans consisting of 12 contrasting flavours.

The calendar includes the more common IPA’s and lagers whilst also giving fans the chance to indulge on some of their more outrageous flavours.

Behind one of the doors this December will be the Honeycomb Pale Ale, which is essentially a Crunchie in a can.

The £69.95 calendar will also include the brand’s Mango Crazy drop, making its debut in this year’s edition.

For the cereal lovers Seven Bro7hers have even brewed a Kellogg’s Corn Flakes ‘Throw Away IPA’.

For the sceptics out there we took it upon ourselves to taste each can behind the doors to help avoid any potential disappointment.

And if we’re honest it’s an acquired taste but ideal for an adventurous booze lover.

Let’s start with the positives.

The design of each can is bursting with colours which is sure to grab anyone’s attention.

For drinkers who are more accustomed to your traditional IPA’s and lagers there is plenty to enjoy in the calendar.

The tastiest drop out the lot came in for the can of Helles lager, the 4.6% beverage was very crisp and left you wanting more – 8/10.

The Juicy and the Easy IPA were both exactly what you’d expect from an Indian Pale Ale, with the juicy one providing a nice burst of flavour – 7/10.

For the casual drinkers there are plenty of options to satisfy needs however some of the crazier flavours were a bit rich for our blood.

The aptly nicknamed crunchie in a can, aka the 4% honeycomb pale ale was an odd mix of flavours.

Drinkable for the first few sips but was definitely for a sweeter palette.

The 4% current affairs beer left a sour taste – literally.

The drink tasted of vanilla and blackcurrant with an added sourness – 2/10.

Overall I would score the calendar at a respectable 7/10 for taste, but would render it perfect for a boozy advent adventure.
