An actress was rushed to the hospital after being bitten by a black widow spider.
Cynthia Klitbo filmed herself on a ward after the insect took a “whole piece of skin” from her leg.
The 57-year-old told her 837,000 social media followers that she had experienced pain, muscle cramps and spasms.

Doctors gave her antibiotics and her condition is now stable.
Cynthia said she was resting after a long day of filming when the incident happened.
In the clip, which has 109,000 views, she explained that she didn’t feel anything at first and it took a while for the spasms to kick in.
“I was bitten by a spider called a Latrodectus,” Cynthia, who is from Mexico, said.
“It’s a giant spider and, well, they are giving me an antidote.
“I already saw a photo of the spider and it is scary.
“My muscles are jumping where it bit me – a whole piece of skin came off.
“A black widow bit me, [doctors] told me that if I hadn’t come to get antibiotics I could have died.
“I can’t believe it – that’s why they told me the scientific name [of the spider], so as not to scare me.”
Cynthia, who is well known for appearing in soap operas, was bitten by the black widow on 14 February.

She was in Guadalajara, Jalisco, at the time, and revealed what happened in a video shared on 15 February.
The venom from a black widow spider is toxic to humans and can cause intense pain, sweating, muscle cramps and spasms, and nausea.
Some may even experience difficulty breathing, a fever, and increased blood pressure.
After she shared details about the terrifying incident with her followers, Cynthia was flooded with kind messages, as reported by Need To Know.
