A police officer was rushed to hospital after a horror van smash.
The first responder was on her way to an emergency in a marked vehicle when the incident happened.
The police van was on blue lights when it was struck by another vehicle at a junction.
A startling video shows the overturned vehicle lying on its side with its siren still wailing.
Bystanders can be seen stood on the motor, helping the police officer to get out of the wreckage, as reported by Need To Know.
Two men can be seen assisting the officer down from the van while another officer also helps.
A white vehicle is shown a few yards away with severe damage to its front.
The collision happened on Coventry Road, Yardley, Birmingham, at around 2.50pm on Friday (11 April).
The officer’s injuries were not life threatening.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police, said: “We’re investigating after a vehicle collided with a police van shortly before 2.50pm on Friday on the Coventry Road, at its junction with Forest Road, Yardley.
“Our van was on blue lights responding to an incident when it was struck.
“The vehicle stopped at the scene.
“An officer was taken to hospital with injuries which are classed as non-life threatening.
“No-one else was injured.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.48pm to a road traffic collision involving a car and a van at the junction of Coventry Road and Forest Road in Yardley, Birmingham.
“One ambulance and two paramedic officers attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found three patients, the first was assessed and had sustained serious injuries which were not life threatening.
“She received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.
“A second and third patient did not require treatment from ambulance staff.”
