A dad-of-three whose life was saved by Jeremy Clarkson has paid tribute with a set of cheeky undies.

Andy Hood beat cancer after watching an episode of his Grand Tour show four years ago.

In it, Clarkson, 64, and fellow presenters James May and Richard Hammond discussed needing to wee during the night – a prostate issue that affects many men.

And it led Andy to being diagnosed with testicular cancer.

The 53-year-old from Barnstaple, Devon, who has three sons discovered a testicular lump while in the shower not long after watching the episode, as reported by Need To Know.

Earlier this year he revealed: “That kickstarted a chain of events ending in an operation to remove one of my testicles and chemotherapy.

“My cancer had spread, and I was told that if I had not checked when I did then the cancer would have undoubtedly spread more and it would have been a whole lot more serious.

“I would have been very, very unwell indeed.

“My cancer was testicular cancer.

“I had an orchiectomy and chemotherapy.

“My message to all is check your testicles – if I hadn’t it would have been much, much more serious.

“I will never be able to thank Clarkson, Hammond and May enough for saving my life that day as I know without watching that programme, I would not have checked myself.”

And now Andy has launched his own line of underwear, Check Ya Balls, designed to encourage men to check themselves regularly and raise awareness about the disease.

The underwear features Andy’s own cheeky cartoon characters and serves as a humorous reminder and a serious message.

He said: “Over 150 pairs have sold in the first month and 60 per cent is going to Robin Cancer Trust and Cahonas charities.

“Check Ya Balls underwear was born after my own run-in with testicular cancer
“I decided to turn something rubbish into something powerful – a mission to get men talking, opening up, and most importantly… giving the boys a regular check.

“My goal is for every guy to own at least one pair and we’ll save lives.

“I had a message on Christmas Eve from someone who had seen all my content on testicular cancer awareness and the importance of regular checking.

“They found a lump and had seen a doctor and were now waiting for a scan.

“That’s why I do what I do.

“I designed these boxers to be ridiculously comfortable—silky soft, moisture-wicking, and supportive in all the places that matter.

“And yes, the cheeky little Balls characters are my own creation.

“Their mischievous grins are there to remind you to have a quick feel every time you pull them on. It’s self-care with sass.

“Every pair sold supports two amazing cancer charities.”

He credits Jeremy Clarkson and his co-hosts on The Grand Tour for inspiring him to check for cancer.

“Without their message, I would never have known.

“The cancer would have spread, and this website might not even exist.

“Now, I carry the torch, urging men to check, to speak up, and to break the silence around a cancer we don’t talk about enough,” Andy added.
