A beauty and fashion influencer has died aged 25 after suffering a sudden medical emergency.
Maria Rita Rodrigues da Silva passed away on Saturday (21 Feb).
The heartbreaking news was shared by her parents, who wrote: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Maria Rita.”

In a separate post, they added: “Unfortunately, Maria suffered a sudden illness and left us.”
Her exact cause of death has not been disclosed.
Maria, from São Bernardo do Campo in Brazil, had amassed more than 65,000 followers on TikTok and over 11,000 on Instagram.

She regularly posted beauty and fashion content, alongside selfies, updates on her weight-loss journey and snapshots from her travels, including trips to Peru and Uruguay.
Paying tribute, her friend Lígia wrote: “She was always such a lovely person during her time with me in the sewing and pattern-making studio at Fine Arts. I’m so very sorry.”

Jéssica added: “She was such a bright soul, always smiling, with a charisma like no other. Wherever she went, she won everyone over with her warmth and charm.
“Beautiful inside and out. I’m still struggling to take it all in. Rest in peace, princess.”
Maria’s funeral was held in São Bernardo do Campo on Sunday (22 Feb), and she is due to be laid to rest there today (23 Feb).
Just days earlier, on Thursday (19 Feb), lifestyle influencer Bianca Dias died aged 27 after suffering a pulmonary embolism, as reported by Need To Know.

A tattoo enthusiast, she had recently undergone plastic surgery and suffered the complication during her recovery in Mauá, Brazil.
She was rushed for medical treatment but arrived at hospital with no signs of life.
She was laid to rest on Friday (20 Feb) in Ribeirão Pires, and is survived by her two young daughters.
