Story from Jam Press (Mansion Bunker) Pictured: The futuristic mansion. Built for an 'uncertain world': Futuristic mansion on the market for £4.8M boasts 20-bed underground bunker set up to survive an apocalypse. A futuristic mansion where residents could survive an apocalypse has gone on the market - complete with a 5,000 square-foot underground bunker fitted out for an “uncertain world”. The country estate, near the city of Battle Creek, Michigan, features four houses built on 323 acres of private land - all on sale for $6.5 million (£4.8 million). But it's the compound’s unusual maximum-security underground bunker with accommodation for 20 people that sets it apart from many others. Underneath a six-inch steel covering, the bunker has multiple bathrooms and two kitchens, a grow room, and a shooting range. It's set up for any eventuality, with solar power and an air purification system. A recently built 14,000 square foot five-bedroom mansion is at the centre of the estate, overlooking a nine-acre private lake stocked with fish, and a state-of-the-art greenhouse for self-sustainability. Built in 2018 and finished to the highest of standards, the luxury multi-level home boasts an open-plan layout with high ceilings and marble flooring flowing throughout. Large windows and sliding doors give an inside/outside feel to the property, with expansive composite decking offering panoramic views around the home. A futuristic mansion where residents could survive an apocalypse has gone on the market – complete with a 5,000 square-foot underground bunker fitted out for an “uncertain world”.

The country estate, near the city of Battle Creek, Michigan, features four houses built on 323 acres of private land – all on sale for $6.5 million (£4.8 million).

But it’s the compound’s unusual maximum-security underground bunker with accommodation for 20 people that sets it apart from many others.

Underneath a six-inch steel covering, the bunker has multiple bathrooms and two kitchens, a grow room, and a shooting range.

It’s set up for any eventuality, with solar power and an air purification system.

A grand staircase leads to the second and third floors of the home, with separate hallways to the master suite and a bathroom.

Inside the master suite, there are two huge walk-in closets with built-in cabinetry, as well as his and her bathrooms, showers, and the bedroom’s very own laundry room.

On the property’s basement level, which also has walkout access into the grounds and plenty of natural light, is a fifth bedroom suite, with a large living space, mirrored workout studio, yoga room, and a spa with infrared, steam, and dry saunas, as well as a hot tub.

The lower level – which all has in-floor heating – also offers a kitchenette with refrigerated drawers, an ice maker, and a wet bar, perfect for hosting a large party.

If that wasn’t enough space the estate also features a 7,200 square foot outbuilding with in-floor heating and a state-of-the-art greenhouse where residents can grow their own food.

Not to mention the four lakes on the compound, stocked with bluegill, bass, perch, crappie and bait fish, and the acres of wooded timberland that hasn’t been harvested for years.

The three other properties on the site are a two-bedroom ranch-style home built in 1971, a lakehouse with three bedrooms, and the “caretaker’s” three-bedroom stone house, built in 1925.

Despite being secluded within its own land, the property is conveniently located, with private and commercial air services nearby.

The house is on the market for $6.5 million and listed by Ryan T Johnson of Michigan Lifestyle Properties/Gull Lake Realty.
