Story from Jam Press (Fruit Manicure) Pictured: Video grab - The kiwi fruit manicure. 'Stop this sh*t': Nail salon leaves Instagram users feeling sick with bizarre FRUIT MANICURES – using kiwi, dragon fruit and WHOLE CHILLI PEPPERS Instagram users have been left feeling sick by a nail salon's bizarre manicures – made with real fruits like kiwi, dragon fruit and spicy chilli peppers. Nail Sunny, which has branches across the globe and two million followers on one its many social media accounts, is known for its controversial designs. The brand has previously come under fire for using live fish and ants inside acrylics, but the technicians also often turn to the kitchen to find inspiration. Nail Sunny has recently shocked fans by sharing three videos of manicures made entirely with fruits. But social media users aren't sold on the strange nail trend, one of which includes having whole chillies attached to the wearer's hand – which is a very risky move for anyone applying mascara in the mornings. "Imagine accidentally rubbing your eyes with these on," wrote one user. "Wasting food, stop this shit," commented someone else, adding vomiting emojis. Another person was especially concerned for nail biters. "If you bite such nails it will be hot," they wrote. [translated from Russian] A different fruit manicure shows the technician cutting up a dragon fruit before using part of the skin within the acrylic nail. They finish off the peculiar look by adding the fruit's black seeds on top. The video has racked up over 10,700 likes, with one user describing the design as "horrible", while others were too shocked for words, simply commenting with vomiting emojis. "The truth is that I think that food is to be eaten, not to put it on your nails, it would seem much more creative to imitate with techniques and details than to literally put food on yourself," wrote someone else. [translated from Spanish] "I wish y’all would just stop," wrote another user. [sic]

Instagram users have been left feeling sick by a nail salon’s bizarre manicures – made with real fruits like kiwi, dragon fruit and spicy chilli peppers.

But social media users aren’t sold on the strange nail trend, one of which includes having whole chillies attached to the wearer’s hand – which is a very risky move for anyone applying mascara in the mornings.

“Imagine accidentally rubbing your eyes with these on,” wrote one user.

“Wasting food, stop this shit,” commented someone else, adding vomiting emojis.

Another person was especially concerned for nail biters.

“I wish y’all would just stop,” wrote another user. [sic]

“Y’all is wrong for that,” added someone else. [sic]

“Stop waisting foood,” commented a fourth person.

But not everyone was put off by the dragon fruit manicure, with one person writing: “My first thought: ‘if she leaves that on will it grow mold?’ My second thought: “that’s actually really pretty and unique!”

A third video shows a design made with kiwi, gaining over 12,700 likes.

As with the dragon fruit, the technician uses part of the kiwi’s skin for the look, before finishing off by adding the seeds.

To make the experience even more traumatising for viewers, the technician then slowly pushes the wearer’s nail into the kiwi over and over.

“Why is she finger f***ing the fruit?,” wrote one user.

“It seemed to me alone – that the fruit was abused ……,” another person added with a horrified ghost emoji. [sic]

“Looks like fungus,” added a third user.
