A model who has an award-winning bum has splashed out $10,000 USD to get a gold thread butt lift.
Lucene Duarte, 43, who splits her time between London and Brazil, hit the headlines last year after her 19-year-old son, Leonardo, revealed he set up an OnlyFans account for his mum.
The model, who has graced the covers of Playboy and FHM, and has one million followers on Instagram (@luceneduarte), has now shared just how far she is willing to go to keep her figure in shape.
A former Miss BumBum star who won the title in 2019 and is known among her fans for her large bum, Lucene has undergone a beauty procedure that involves inserting gold threads into her behind in order to make the cheeks “firmer and more youthful”.
“I used Bulgarian threads injected into the buttocks to have a firmer, luminous and youthful butt, it is a less invasive procedure,” she told Jam Press.
“The method uses an elastic thread, made of braided polyamide, which has a certain elasticity and does not break – in addition to being absorbed by the body after five years.”
It appears having a perky butt doesn’t come cheap, with Lucene paying $10,000 for the unusual method – but she’s very happy with the results.
She said: “I spent £10,000 for this procedure to make it [my butt] look better and younger.
“I’m very pleased, it helped a lot with the cellulites. I’m completely amazed about it!
“It just gets better and better.”
The gold thread lift is a minimally-invasive surgery that involves inserting 24-karat gold threads into the skin to tighten it.
WHAT THE EXPERT SAYS
“This sounds like a very new method for buttock lifting and I would want to see more long-term data and safety data regarding the threads used,” plastic surgeon Naveen Cavale from Real Plastic Surgery Ltd and REAL Clinic in London, told Jam Press.
“I would generally expect this to give a temporary result and time will tell if this is a true alternative to established surgical alternatives such as fat transfer to the buttocks.”
