A home dubbed the “Jurassic Park house” with dinosaur statues standing guard outside has gone on the market for $162,000 (£133,013).
The quirky abode, in Cleveland, Ohio, US, appears to be a standard family home on the inside – but has a set of rather strange security guards keeping a watchful eye over it outside.
Perched on rocks and towering over the pavement in the front garden are a series of animal statues – including a dinosaur, elephant and giraffe.
The bizarre trio of wood-carved beasts are joined by another elephant and giraffe in the back garden.
While the interior of the three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is largely devoid of any wildlife, there is one large giraffe in the lounge, which appears to be a light fixture, with a lamp lodged near its mouth.
The property was built in 1924 and is described as a “meticulously maintained Colonial”.
Pictures of the home were shared on Facebook and went viral, with the post racking up nearly 7,000 likes and thousands of comments.
One user said: “Looks like a beautifully maintained home. The dinos are awesome, but I assume they don’t convey with the house since they aren’t in the listing. Darn!”
“Would I buy it and sew seasonally appropriate accessories for the dinosaurs? You bet. Would they get their own Halloween costumes? Absolutely,” commented another viewer.
Someone else said: “Why does this house not have every room decked out in dinosaurs… that’s why it failed as an air bnb LOL.” [sic]
“Look, I’m not going to question the historical accuracy as to why there’s a giraffe with the dinos, because I absolutely love it!” added another fan.
Another person said: “The interior needs more dinosaurs. If you’re gonna have dinos, HAVE DINOS!”
The property is for sale with Nicholas Reyes of BHHS Stouffer Realty for $162,000.
