A surgeon has left social media users shocked after revealing what 30-year-old breast implants look like now, with the video racking up millions of views.
Jerry Chidester, 40, known as ‘The Dancing Surgeon’ on TikTok (@drchiddy), has built a following of over 55,100 fans thanks to his eye-opening clips.
Dr Chiddy originally started out as a hand surgeon in 2008 and later made a name for himself giving ‘mommy makeovers’ and now shares his knowledge and expertise on social media.
In the clip, which has racked up five million views so far, he compares two silicone implants; one from 30 years ago versus the silicone implants used today.
“Check out THIRTY year old breast implants compared to today’s!!! Notice anything?,” the surgeon captioned the video.
In the video, he starts by tearing open the old implant as the runny gel falls out of the sack in a wet motion.
He then reveals a new ‘gummy’ implant, which he cuts open with scissors, and none of the gel drops out but instead it holds its shape.
TikTok users were left stunned and were quick to share their thoughts, with many people comparing the goo to slime.
One person wrote: “That’s not a silicone implant its slime.”
Another user added: “How to make slime no borax no glue.”
Someone else commented: “When I get the money, I’m going to replace my 14-year-old saline implants with silicone!”
“Can I use that for waxing my hair? Does it work?!,” said another user.
“This looks like slime,” added one user.
“Did her body FRY them???,” wrote someone else.
“This disturbs me,” added another user.
Someone else put: “This implant is older than me,” followed by laughing emojis.
Dr Chiddy has also posted other TikTok videos comparing breast implants.
In a different clip, he shows a 23-year-old implant from 1998, which he’d recently removed.
He explains how the implant was placed during the FDA ban on silicone implants, which was announced in 1992 and lifted in 2006.
The implant can be seen with the same “slime”-like gel dripping out of the sac.
“Recent FDA regulations in the United States requires that we go over a very extensive informed consent process specific to the implants,” Dr Chiddy told NeedToKnow.online.
“Therefore the patients are fully aware of the risks of breast implants, that they need to be exchanged after 10 15 years.
“And that they are not permanent devices, and that they need to be surveyed with MRI or high resolution ultrasound every few years.”
