A model claims she has found the secret to everlasting youth: menstrual blood face masks.
Mimi Boliviana, 33, from Brazil, previously made headlines after dumping her boyfriend because he didn’t like her teddy bear.
With break-ups being stressful – and in turn have a knock-on effect on the skin – model Mimi began making more time for some self-care.
And she claims to have hit the jackpot – albeit by rather unconventional means – by using her period blood as a face mask.

Mimi, who boasts 358,000 followers on Instagram (@mimizinhaofficial), was introduced to the idea by other influencers and decided to give it a go.
She now claims it to be a ritual in her skin care regime, smearing it on her face with a brush a couple of times each monthly cycle.
And while others may be repulsed at the idea, Mimi claims if you have a healthy diet you’ll be able to keep tired, dreary skin at bay with the DIY face masks.

“It’s good to stay young. Each time I do it, it looks like I have baby skin. I’m completely hydrated and rejuvenated,” Mimi told NeedToKnow.online.
“I usually apply the mask a couple of times during the cycle, using a brush.
“I collect it through the collection cup and dilute it with a little filtered water.
“Contrary to what they think, the smell is not strong, it just has the odour of iron. As long as you have a healthy diet you’re fine.”
There is no scientific evidence to suggest the use of menstrual blood will keep skin looking young.
