Ross Macfarlane, 34, has lost five stone after making one major change to his diet three years ago – eating at least three eggs a day. After starting the day with boiled eggs, the Edinburgh-based man says the simple swap from a calorific and sugary breakfast to simple eggs has been transformative, after previously weighing 18 stone 8lbs. He shared the success on TikTok, showing pictures of himself before and after the egg diet, which has garnered 15 million views and 560,000 likes. “I’m told I look 10 years younger and I definitely feel it too,” Ross, an IT manager, told NeedToKnow.co.uk. “Prior to the eggs I would have the usual high calorie breakfast [and] a syrup latte with pastries which so many people do. “This resulted in me being hungry and needed to snack on chocolate or crisps by 11am totally throwing me off for the rest of the day. “I’m championing the power of eggs for breakfast on my social media with over 100s of millions of views now showing the positive effect they have had on my life. “Eggs wrongly get a lot of negative press however they low calorie and tremendously nutritionally dense with packed with protein, vitamins and good fats. “From starting my day on eggs I’m full, less likely to crave and snack on junk food which keeps me motivated to stick to my new healthy lifestyle and keep the weight off for three years now. “As for the rest of meals, I just make smart choices and limit junk foods to very special occasions. “I have normal good cholesterol levels now however this was high when I was obese. “Making small changes and seeing the results, then building on the momentum motivated me to make further changes like

“Making small changes and seeing the results, then building on the momentum motivated me to make further changes like going to the gym consistently and getting a new found passion for fitness and all-round healthy living.”

In the TikTok, Ross says: “Started eating three boiled eggs for breakfast every morning and this is the crazy thing it did to my body…”

The video then shows him three years ago, compared to now – where his physique appears chiselled and healthy.

While the post proved hugely popular, viewers couldn’t resist a few jokes.

One person commented: “I know my boy was farting wild.”

“So a lot of farting will help me lose weight?” another user joked.

Someone else said: “Those farts must have been BRUTAL.”

Others called the transformation “amazing”.

One person said: “Brb on my way to boil eggs.” [sic]

“That is eggcellent,” another fan joked.
