Woman rushes to A&E after mystery extreme allergic reaction sees her face swell up A woman has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a video of herself having an extreme allergic reaction – leaving people online shocked by the change to her appearance. Amber Ria Maunder, from London, was left horrified after her face unexpectedly began swelling up, leaving her skin painful to the touch. The 24-year-old shared various images of the incident on her TikTok account (@ambsria), where the shocking before and after snaps have racked up 74,900 views. As her symptoms escalated, with “white spots” across her face, itchiness and dryness, she rushed to A&E for help. "I didn’t look or feel like myself, so it had a massive effect on my confidence." Doctors were left stumped and Amber still has no idea how the allergic reaction occurred. She said: "I’m still unsure, that day I don’t remember eating or using anything on my skin that was out of the norm. "I do remember it being very cold outside and my skin being drier than normal. "After getting home from being outside, my face felt tight and itchy and I felt uncomfortable. "Then I noticed swelling which got worse over time, especially around my eye and nose area, my forehead too. "I also had these little white spots over my face." Thankfully, the swelling eventually passed after four days. Now, Amber is using her social media platform to raise awareness of signs to look out for with allergic reactions, in the hopes that it will help others. She added: "It’s important because anyone can be affected. “I guess it’s easier when you know what you’re allergic or sensitive to, but if you don’t, it can be
