Story from Jam Press (Eco Friendly Vape) Pictured: The IVG 2400. 'People are vilified for VAPING but they're not going anywhere – so we're doing our bit': Company develops most eco-friendly disposable vape on market A pioneering company is making a dent in the environmental toll of disposable vapes by creating the first legal 2400 puff disposable in the UK & EU. IVG has developed a new device called IVG 2400, which offers more puffs-per-disposable vape than anything else on the market. The device holds four 600 puff pods with customers knowing when they have reached this amount and have to turn the device to the next pod. Many products on the black market exceed the legal 600 puffs – with thousands of illegal devices seized up and down the country by police. IVG’s £12.99 new device also makes the vapes last longer – lessening the environmental impact of single-use ones tossed away. Many people currently opt for single-use vapes due to the cost of owning a rechargeable device. However, disposable vapes release hazardous chemical waste into the environment due to the plastic, electronic, and lithium battery components. While there's still a long way to go, vapes are given a bad reputation, according to marketing manager, Rhett Morrissey. As they offer a solution to help customers in their journey to quitting smoking, vaping should not be the next habit but should be used as a proven option to help people kick the habit. He said: "People are treated like criminals for vaping. "They are unfairly vilified. "When in all actuality it's people making a step to bettering their health. "Not everyone can go cold turkey from smoking. "There's always going to be a demand for vaping and what we've developed has helped the environmental footprint of the industry." The new vape offers multi-flavoured pod options, where the consumer can switch between flavours as and when they want – something which is reportedly not available in any other disposables.

A pioneering company is making a dent in the environmental toll of disposable vapes by creating the first legal 2400 puff disposable in the UK & EU.

While there’s still a long way to go, vapes are given a bad reputation, according to marketing manager, Rhett Morrissey.

As they offer a solution to help customers in their journey to quitting smoking, vaping should not be the next habit but should be used as a proven option to help people kick the habit.

He said: “People are treated like criminals for vaping.

“They are unfairly vilified.

“When in all actuality it’s people making a step to bettering their health.

“Not everyone can go cold turkey from smoking.

“There’s always going to be a demand for vaping and what we’ve developed has helped the environmental footprint of the industry.”

The new vape offers multi-flavoured pod options, where the consumer can switch between flavours as and when they want – something which is reportedly not available in any other disposables.

The company is also looking to develop a reusable device where only the pods will be the disposable element.

Rhett added: “This is cutting-edge design.

“That is patent protected, TPD, MHRA & trading standards approved, making this the first legal 2400 puff disposable for the UK and the EU.

“We’ve really thought about current issues and worked hard to come up with responsible solutions.

“The consumer will be using only one battery in four pods.

“The plastic used overall is reduced, and the technology and flavours within the device offer a supreme vaping experience making it easier for adult smokers to transition to vaping.

“The retailer can relax, safe in the knowledge that what they are selling is of the highest quality and above all, legal.”

And it’s not just the environmental impact that the Preston-based manufacturer is hoping to help out.

The business is also looking to stop kids from taking up the habit.

According to a recent survey by Action on Smoking and Health, there has been a 50% increase in vaping among 11 to 17-year-olds, who are often attracted by the bright colours and flavours.

Rhett added: “The packaging has been designed and priced so that kids will not find it attractive.

“Significant investment, ground-breaking R&D and close liaison with the MHRA and Trading Standards have meant that this unique patented product is fully TPD compliant.

“This is important for retailers, as it gives them a weapon against illegal vapes, and its price-positioning and design targets adults, making it less attractive to minors.”
