A person who “doesn’t want to look human” and gets yelled at in the street by strangers is changing every aspect of their face and body to estrange themself from humankind.
Danny Englert, also known by their moniker, ‘Possession’, received their first piercing at 16, before quickly progressing to more extreme body modifications.
Now, eight years and £2,200 (€2,500) later, they have tattoos over half of their body, has removed part of their ears to look like a goblin, and added transdermal implants (‘horns’) in their head and chest, as well as installed pointed teeth.
Possession has injected ink into their gums, eyes, and tongue to change their colour, too.
“I don’t like humans and what they do to each other and the world they live in,” the 24-year-old, from Germany, told http://NeedToKnow.co.uk .
“I want to modify myself until I don’t get recognised as human.
“I have tattoos on like a bit more than half of my body but a lot of them unfinished cause of the chaotic nature of my project.”
Performing almost all of their modifications themself or with the help of their mates, Danny claims to have saved thousands by doing so.
They said: “I do nearly all of my mods (besides implants) myself or let my friends tattoo me.
“I’ve been learning body modifying for quite some time now and am the one my friends come to for piercings or scarifications, and small body mods.
“I think my purpose is to make the people around me and myself look more ‘edgy’.
“It is my life’s work.”
Although they love their look, Danny receives a lot of negative comments from people – with some calling them a “devil” and attacking them because of their looks.
They said: “People usually yell ‘devil’ or ‘emo’, but that’s not a big deal.
“Once there were three guys attacking a friend and me on our way home just for looking different and I lost one of my horns because of it.
“We were partying at a club and on our way home when some guys were calling names to us.
“They ran over and started punching and kicking us.
“We’re both not the strongest and couldn’t do much.
“One of my transdermal implants got so damaged that part of the plate came out my head and I had to get it removed, but besides that we were okay.
“I just don’t get why some people are like that.
“But that stuff just adds to the list of reasons to dislike the human race.
“I don’t really care what others think and say about my look because I do it for myself.
“My family doesn’t like it that much but they accept it and even kind of support it.”
The unemployed body modification addict hopes to soon have their horns re-implanted in their head and looks forward to seeing how else they can amend their face and body.
Possession added: “I am really hyped to see where this project will take me and how long it will take to finish it.”
