A vehicle disguised as Santa’s sleigh was seized by cops after its driver refused a breathalyser test.
The motor, which was reportedly laden with presents, was stopped by traffic police on Christmas Eve.
It happened at a checkpoint after officers noticed the “sleigh’s” numberplates weren’t visible.
The driver – according to the authorities in Salvador, Brazil – refused to take a breathalyser test.
His identity is being withheld, but the woman who filmed the traffic stop identified him as “Father Christmas”.
As she films the bizarre scene unfolding, she is heard saying: “The little ones will be without gifts.”
Her footage shows the “sleigh” stopped next to a police pickup truck on a road lined with traffic cones.
The red, illuminated vehicle looks like it’s being pulled by several reindeer.
Several officers are present and another police car can be seen a few yards behind with its lights flashing.
As refusing a breathalyser test is not a crime under local law, the driver was reportedly not arrested.
However, local media say he risks a fine worth nearly £500 for violating the local traffic code.
He also reportedly faces a year-long driving ban and his licence confiscated.
