A personal trainer has defied skeptics by shedding pounds while indulging in Domino’s pizza daily for a month.
Jayden Lee, hailing from Portsmouth, embarked on this unconventional diet to dispel the notion that people must forsake their beloved foods. “I wanted to prove a point,” he emphasized.
The 18-year-old committed to consuming one small pizza (9.5 inches) every day for the entire month. His pizza lineup included protein-rich favorites like Mighty Meat, Tuna Supreme, Meatball Marinara, and Pepperoni Passion, among others.
Remarkably, Jayden managed to secure a discount during his pizza spree, tallying his expenditure at £255 thus far.
Jayden’s social media presence has skyrocketed, with his Instagram videos garnering significant attention, including one clip amassing over 600,000 views.
Reflecting on his unconventional dietary experiment, Jayden shared insights into his motivation and experience. Currently pursuing his Level 3 PT qualification, he emphasized the importance of challenging societal norms regarding food.
“In the past, I had a troubled relationship with food, witnessing the stigma around certain processed foods,” Jayden explained. “I wanted to challenge this notion and demonstrate that food shouldn’t be vilified, even when aiming to shed some extra weight.”
Opting for a pizza-centric approach, Jayden injected his personal flair into the challenge. Despite initial reservations, he reported feeling physically well throughout the experiment, with stable sleep patterns, manageable hunger levels, and sustained energy levels.
Throughout his pizza-eating endeavor, Jayden expressed overall satisfaction with the experience, acknowledging minor inconveniences such as waiting for Domino’s deliveries.
Despite the occasional challenge, Jayden’s fondness for pizza only deepened, as he explored a variety of pizza combinations, including unconventional options like tuna toppings.
Despite the dietary deviation, Jayden reported no adverse physical effects, although he admitted to facing difficulties during the experiment.
Jayden’s primary objective was to challenge the misconception that weight loss requires complete elimination of enjoyable foods like pizza.
By meticulously tracking his calorie intake and ensuring a daily deficit of 2,200 to 2,500 calories, Jayden successfully shed pounds over the course of the experiment, starting at 161.60 lbs (73.3 kg) and concluding at 148.37 lbs (67.3 kg). Originally intended to span just 21 days, Jayden extended the challenge to encompass the entirety of January.
Jayden shared, “I hit my protein intake every day, as well as my five body workouts a week.
I also attempted to do 45min cardio per day, sometimes I did less or more.” He emphasized his focus on nutrient-dense, high-protein, and high-volume foods to keep him satisfied and energized.
Additionally, he mentioned, “No food was off limits.”
Jayden highlighted, “If I went over my calories for a day, it wasn’t the end of the world.”
He found the challenge straightforward and described it as a fun experience.
According to him, “Food shouldn’t be feared or excluded when trying to cut down fat.” Instead, he emphasized the importance of including it in an overall healthy diet.
