A woman who went viral after filming the hunt for her missing parrot Chanel is celebrating after a drug charge against her was dropped.

Sandra Hannah celebrated in the courthouse toilet saying she was now “f*cking free” just like her pet bird.

She filmed herself in a selfie video on her mobile phone propped up in the loos.

Ms Hannah said: “I’m in court, yeah, I’m in the toilets.

“Because I’m f*cking free.

“I’m off to fly… just like Chanel.”

Taking photos and videos inside the court precincts can be deemed a criminal offence under the Criminal Justice Act 1925.

The 43-year-old gained internet fame after losing her African Grey Parrot, Chanel in 2020.

She went viral after filming herself screaming her missing parrot’s name down the street.

Miraculously, Ms Hannah, of Netherton, Liverpool was reunited with her feathered friend.

But last April she was charged with the importation of cannabis worth £792,000.

It was following a joint operation with Merseyside Police and the National Crime Agency.

They found 237.6kg of cannabis resin imported from Spain.

She pleaded not guilty in a court hearing last October and was granted bail until her court date last Friday (1 Mar).

But she was cleared after the CPS offered no evidence against her.

In another video filmed outside Liverpool Crown Court she said: “Just got out of court baby.

”Happy Friday.

”I’m free.

”Happy Friday guys, love to you all.”

One friend, called Davina said: “You’re such a vibe congrats girl.”

”You’re an icon, I love you,” said another person.

Merseyside Police has been approached for comment.
