Kaya Louise and her partner, Jake Kilshaw from Chester, England, embarked on a quest for dental solutions abroad after recognizing dissatisfaction with their smiles.
Kaya, 36, was troubled by cracked and chipped teeth, while 27-year-old Jake had long endured twisted teeth but hesitated to pursue braces.
The allure of Turkey’s veneer treatment quickly captured their interest.

Kaya, reflecting on her dental insecurities, shared, “I started to become very self-conscious of my teeth and it affected my smile,” to Need To Know.
Kaya elaborated on her dental concerns, noting the deterioration of her previously straight teeth, which had become rounded and uneven over the past year.
Meanwhile, Jake harbored dissatisfaction with his own teeth, despite their overall health and lack of previous dental procedures.
Although Kaya admired Jake’s teeth, he harbored insecurity due to slight twisting, prompting a dentist’s recommendation for braces.
She expressed, “Personally, I loved his teeth, but he felt insecure about them.”
Kaya and Jake, who works as a ground worker, discovered a dental facility in Turkey that offered procedures tailored to both their needs, priced at £1,500 and £2,200 for Kaya and Jake, respectively.
Kaya affirmed, “I knew it was exactly what I wanted.” Jake, on the other hand, preferred to avoid the lengthy process of wearing braces.
Their consultations revealed that Jake required 22 crowns to address his twisted teeth, while Kaya needed three bridges and six crowns to achieve the desired results.
The couple scheduled their surgeries for December 2023 and chronicled their journey on TikTok. Kaya expressed her relief at undergoing the procedure together, admitting her fear of going alone.
She elaborated, “Some people I know have been alone, but I didn’t want to.” Describing their experience, she likened it to a mini holiday, enhanced by their stay at a spa hotel, offering a relaxing break.
Fortunately, despite concerns about potential complications associated with “Turkey teeth,” everything proceeded smoothly.
Reflecting on the experience, Kaya affirmed, “The whole thing was great.”
Kaya praised the dental staff, emphasizing their excellence. She explained that while the procedure involves numbing beforehand, there’s no pain afterward.
Delighted with the outcome, she expressed her satisfaction with the customized shape and size of each tooth. Despite initial reservations from her parents about going abroad for the treatment, seeing the results changed their minds.
Kaya noted their approval, stating, “they agree that they are lovely and they’re glad I got them done for myself.”
Additionally, Jake was pleased with his veneers. Social media reactions were positive, with users like Roxy expressing admiration for the outcome.
