A tiny studio flat with a bedroom that looks like a cage costs £ 35,400 a year to rent – that’s more than the average UK salary.
The pokey pad has a small kitchenette equipped with an oven, hob, fridge and sink.
There is a dining table with just two chairs, but no room for a sofa or TV.

The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and basin.
But the sleeping area is accessed by a skinny set of stairs.
There are wooden bars on the side which makes the bedroom resemble a cage or prison cell.

But there isn’t enough room to stand up there.
The bedsit in Notting Hill, north London is being let on OpenRent.
The area is popular with celebs with the likes of Harry Styles and Stella McCartney living there.
Pets are allowed, there is a parking space and bills are included, but there is no garden.
However, the rent is a whopping £ 2,950 a month, which works out at £ 35,400 a year.
The annual amount is £500 more than the average salary in the UK which is £34,900.

On top of that, tenants must also fork out £2,950 upfront as a deposit, as reported on What’s The Jam.
