A cop has been filmed rugby-tackling an escaped pig wreaking havoc in a sleepy community.
The captured swine was one of four spotted around town on 4 April, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake.
Officer Cory Cooper was filmed tackling one of the animals on a resident’s driveway.

The clip shows him being given the runaround in the front garden.
Filmed in Grantsville City, Utah, US, the clip has gone viral on Facebook with 2.6m views and nearly 5,000 comments.
Just as the pig tries to sprint onto the road, Officer Cooper hurls himself at the animal and manages to grab it by its chubby midriff.
He then carries the pig to his patrol car.
Officer Cooper told KSTU-TV: “I’d say about a week ago we got a call about a couple of loose pigs running around town, getting into people’s yards and going through their gardens, going through their animal paddocks and things like that.
“Pigs are notorious for escaping, I’ve known a lot of people who’ve had them and I’ve had some experience chasing pigs down when they get out.”
He added that all four pigs were successfully caught and taken to a local animal shelter, as reported by Need To Know.
One local joked: “Was he booked under the name Chris P. Bacon?”
Another said: “That officer needs a raise. Maybe he should put in for the NFL with that tackle!”

Iris commented: “Touchdown!”
Tammra remarked: “I needed a laugh today. Thanks lol.”
Cherie quipped: “Bacon chasing bacon.”
