A mum-of-three social media star has died of pneumonia aged 28.

Tatielle Scarlat Ferreira went to an emergency care unit on 16 April complaining of diarrhoea, vomiting, and generalised pain.

The medics who saw her thought she might have had dengue.

She was medicated and sent home, but four days later (20 Apr), she returned to the unit with respiratory problems.

An X-ray showed she had pneumonia.

She was medicated, prescribed antibiotics, and discharged again.

Later that day, an ambulance took her back to the unit in Divinópolis, Brazil, after her symptoms intensified.

She was intubated and transferred to a local hospital in the early hours of the next day (21 Apr).

Tragically, the infection claimed her life.

She leaves behind a husband and three young children.

Tatielle had 74,700 followers on Instagram, as reported on Need to Know.

She used social media to talk about everyday life and share her routine with her kids.

She also shared her weight loss tips and she was loved for her self-deprecating humour.

She was also a keen singer and shared her music videos on YouTube.

Her husband, Jeremias de Jesus, told local media: “I’ve lost everything, my rock, my foundation.

“I don’t even know where to begin again.”

Her family accuses the medics who first saw her of negligence.

Jeremias said: “Everything could have been different on the 16th, when she was sent back home without even getting a test.

“Nothing can bring my wife back, but I want her passing to be investigated so that what’s happening to me doesn’t happen to others.”

The authorities in Divinópolis say an inquiry has been opened at the emergency care unit to determine whether there was malpractice.

The report is expected within a month.
