An influencer and her pals have been criticised after they allegedly drove the car straight into a crash barrier.
Footage taken from a passing vehicle shows how the garish pink motor collided with the end of the blockade at a fork in the road.
The car’s lights can be seen flashing and its bonnet is crumpled from the violent impact, which took place in the early hours of Saturday (4 May).

Luckily, influencer María Alejandra “Mav” Villegas and her friends emerged from the damaged car without any serious injuries.

She later posted a video to social media to explain the accident to her tens of millions of followers.
María was with her boyfriend and three friends when they were on their way to buy some late-night burgers.
She said: “We checked the rearview mirror to make sure no car was coming, obviously, and we turned the car to the right.”
The influencer explained that the tarmac was wet due to the persistent rain in Medellín, Colombia.
She insisted they were going “slowly”.
María went on: “We turned the car to the right, we lost control of the car.
“And instead of turning to the right, the car went straight into the guardrail, and boom.”

The influencer was in the front of her car but didn’t clarify if she was behind the wheel.
Shaken, they all got out quickly as smoke began to emerge from the vehicle.
Two of the people sitting in the back seat were left with pain in their back and side, but – said María – “thank God nothing serious happened”.
The group were taken to the hospital, where they were given X-rays and pain relief meds, as reported on Need To Know.

The influencer showed the marks she received on her arm when the airbags were deployed.
Had they been in a smaller car, “the rods would have pierced through us and killed us,” she said.
Fans have responded to the news online.
Nathaly asked: “Mav, why didn’t you brake?”
Referring to her use of the first person plural, another joked: “Everyone was driving.”
Someone else added: “That story is missing a part.”
Santiago said: “Thank goodness you were going slowly. Imagine if you were going fast.”

Another person wrote: “Thank goodness it was just a scare.”
María says her motor is insured.
It is not known if any arrests have been made.
