As she tries to open her gate, a heavy lorry laden with earth enters the frame at speed.
It knocks over a utility pole before smashing into the woman and then into the building next door.
Dust rises into the air as the truck remains against the wall with its bonnet crumpled.
Local media in Ribeirão Grande, Brazil, said the woman could have been killed had it not been for the pole.
As the lorry struck the street furniture, its speed was reduced before it hit her a split-second later.
The woman ended up under the truck, as reported on Need To Know.
Despite the scare, she only sustained an injured tendon in her foot.
She was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital in Itapetininga in stable condition.
She will undergo surgery for her injury.
According to reports, the lorry had been parked on the street just yards from where the woman was struck.
It was being loaded with dirt from a construction site.
No driver was in the vehicle when it experienced brake failure and began moving uncontrollably.
The police are investigating the smash last Friday (7 Jun).
