Cops apologise to a Deliveroo customer after nicking a delivery rider en route with their grub.
The man in Deliveroo’s trademark turquoise uniform and with a food bag was stopped for allegedly jumping a red light.
But when they ran some checks, they realised he was wanted by immigration.

He was stopped on his push bike in Welling, south east London.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Arrested, delivery to custody.
“Following patrols, officers spotted a food delivery rider cycle through a red light at speed.
“The male was subsequently stopped, further checks revealed he was wanted by immigration.
“Male arrested.
“Apologies if that was your takeaway.”
He was collared by two uniformed officers on Tuesday (18 Jun), as reported Need To Know.
Sir Godfrey Lawson, former Tory MP, jokingly said: “Where’s my food?”
Local John Hughes added: “Oh I thought he was arrested because he was late for their meals.”
Gary Mackay said: “What happened to the food?”
Another, named Andy, added: “Any idea when my takeaway will be arriving, I’m starving.”
One said: “You could have finished the delivery at least.”
Another questioned: “You didn’t deliver the food?”
One joked: “Would this show up on the app, driver arrested?”
Deliveroo has been approached for comment.
