AI-powered sex bots with realistic human interaction are about to hit the shelves.
Scientists and engineers are applying ChatGPT-like AI to sex robots with the aim of creating interactive companions.
Starpery Technology, a producer of sex dolls in Shenzhen, China, are training its models to be able to speak better, enhancing their vocabulary with artificial intelligence.

The sex dolls come in both male and female forms and are set to be rolled out soon, as reported by Need To Know.
“We are developing a next-generation sex doll that can interact vocally and physically with users, with prototypes expected by August this year,” CEO Evan Lee said earlier this month.
“Technological challenges remain, particularly in achieving realistic human interaction.
“While simple dialogue is easy, creating interactive responses involves complex model development by specialised software companies.”
The dolls are created with a metal skeleton and a silicone exterior to give the feel of a real human body.
They are currently limited to simple responses, lacking the capabilities to engage with a human – something they hope to change soon.
He said: “The new generation of sex dolls, powered by AI models and equipped with sensors, can react with both movements and speech.
“Significantly enhancing user experience by focusing on emotional connection rather than just basic conversational abilities.”
The company has a large customer base in China and Japan and is now targeting Europe.
Starpery’s road map includes developing robots capable of household chores, helping people with disabilities and providing aged care.
By 2025, the company aims to launch its first “smart service robot”, capable of more complex services for people with disabilities.
By 2030, they aim for the robots to be protecting people from hazardous jobs, according to the company’s plan.
The dolls are priced around $1,500, (£1,187) and are available online, but are due in stores from August 2024.
