She had a Tupperware box filled with pieces of sausage.
Wardens inspected the grub, and inside the banger pieces, they found 16 sex enhancement pills and 23 grams of marijuana.
According to the Penitentiary Administration Department, the suspect was delivering the prohibited substances to her partner.
He was serving a sentence at the prison, as reported on Need To Know.
After catching the woman in the act, the prison staff called the Military Police.
Officers arrived on the scene and took her to the police station in nearby Itapetininga for questioning.
Her name is withheld and it is not clear if she was taken into custody.
The case is the latest in a series of bizarre attempts to smuggle prohibited items into South American jails.
In April, a man was caught “bread-handed” as he tried to deliver a “cocaine sarnie” to his pal in the nick in Berisso, Argentina.
And in November last year, a lag’s mum was caught trying to get cannabis and 10 SIM cards past prison wardens in Sena Madureira, Brazil, hidden in a bag of plantain chips.
