A panicked husband-to-be let out a huge sigh of relief when a treasure hunter found his lost engagement ring on a beach.
Fernando Henrique Cousseau Pinheiro proposed to his girlfriend Luana Dutra da Silva on the sand.
It’s common in the couple’s native home of Brazil for both partners to wear an engagement ring.

So after Luana said ‘yes’, they donned their new bling and went to the water’s edge to take some snaps.
But after a couple of minutes, Fernando, 30, noticed his ring had gone.
“I cried in desperation,” he said.
“We started looking. Back and forth, and nothing.
“I think we stayed on the beach for about three hours.”
The couple were on holiday in Balneário Camboriú, south west of São Paulo, Brazil, at the time on 18 July.
Luana, 35, quickly came up with the idea of looking up a local treasure hunter after reading a piece about him online.
They found Mateus Natan da Silva on social media and sent him a message.
Fernando said: “He replied, and I couldn’t believe it.
“We started talking, and I explained what happened.”
Mateus, 25, arranged to meet the couple the following morning, as reported on Need To Know.
He got to work and his metal detector started beeping almost immediately.
But all he could find were several can tabs and a hair clip.
After 40 minutes, he finally struck gold.
Fernando said: “It was a relief.
“We are very grateful for his help and understanding.
“He’s a really good guy.”
Mateus got the idea to try and make some money from lost items on the beach two years ago.
Clips of the belongings he finds with his metal detector have earned him 308,000 followers on Instagram.
Mateus spends up to four hours a day, about three days a week, searching for hidden treasure.
Gold and silver rings and necklaces are among the long-lost items he’s unearthed.
He once even found an iPhone buried in the sand, but the device was no longer working.
After finding Fernando’s ring, Mateus said: “And thus another marriage was saved.”
