Alicia Silverstone has left fans concerned for her health as she snacked on a berry – which could be poisonous.
The Clueless actress, 47, filmed the now-viral clip while on a recent trip to London, reports Need To Know.
Racking up over 863,000 views and 28,000 likes, she captioned the video: “What the heck is this? I’m in England and can’t figure it out.”
She holds up an orange fruit-like object, before telling viewers that she “just bit into it” because it was on the street and thought it could perhaps be a tomato.
“It’s definitely not, because look at these leaves,” Alicia says, panning the camera down to the berry bush outside someone’s home.
The actress then shows other berries which have been smashed on the floor, before taking another bite and saying: “I don’t think you’re supposed to eat this.”
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many people suggesting it could be solanum pseudocapsicum, commonly known as Jerusalem cherry.
The plant is from the nightshade species and grows poisonous fruits, though only mildly so.
“Jerusalem Cherry…They are poisonous,” one user said.
Katelyn commented: “Imagine looking into your front yard and seeing Alicia Silverstone munching your garden.”
“She’s clearly clueless,” Jason said, followed by a laughing face emoji.
Marie added: “We used to put them down our friends tops and called it itching powder. Definitely do not eat them.”
“WOMAN! UPDATE US. ARE YOU ALIVE AND WELL!?!” another user commented.
Someone else said: “Is Alicia ok??? We need an update!”
On X, user @joshcharles_21, posted the clip with the caption: “This TikTok of a confused Alicia Silverstone eating a fruit off a bush from someone’s front yard blissfully unaware that it’s actually a very poisonous form of deadly nightshade has absolutely killed me.
“She’s not posted since either rip girl you were great in Clueless.”
While the Hollywood actress hasn’t posted an update since the clip, she has been active on social media.
