A woman in a relationship with someone 33 years her senior has revealed her fears about him dying – but says he’s her soulmate.
Nova Hawthorne regularly hits the headlines due to her high-flying relationship with 63-year-old James.
The pair first met on a sugar daddy dating website, where at first, he paid for luxurious trips abroad and extravagant dinners.
Recently, though, the online content creator revealed that they’ve flipped the script – with James becoming Nova’s assistant – and her paying for their lavish lifestyle.

And despite their 33 year age gap, they’re still completely loved up, but she’s starting to fear when their romance will inevitably end.
“I have underlying fears centred around James’ age,” Nova, 29, told Need To Know.

“I try not to spend time worrying about this, though, and redirect my energy into enjoying each day we have together.
“In all relationships you never know when it might be your final time with someone.
“I know James has built a lifetime of experience and he shares that with me each day.
“I am sure when the time comes that our relationship reaches its finale, through a mutual ending or more permanent means, I will be open to seeking new relationships.

“I don’t know what the future will hold, but I know James wouldn’t want me to be alone.
“He has always wanted for me to be happy and loved.”
Nova and James, from Melbourne, Australia, met in 2019.
Since then, their relationship has blossomed, though they’ve tried to keep things private.

However, they still face judgement daily.
She said: “Many people assume that significant age differences automatically mean incompatible interests, goals or values.
“But this isn’t always the case.
“It’s built on shared values and mutual respect, not just age.
“People may judge age gap relationships more harshly than other [types of] relationships – but it’s like everyone else’s.

“James and I are at very different stages in life and [for example] I don’t wish to start a family with him.
“We never entered the relationship under the possibility of having a child together.
“For us, open communication, mutual respect and understanding each other’s needs – including sexual – are the keys to a successful relationship.
“It’s more about compatibility and emotional connection than age difference.”

Nova is now earning a whopping $360,000 (AUD) (£182,000) per year from her own business, meaning James was able to step away from his own career.
And although she’s now the breadwinner, the creator is the main heir to his impressive will.
For anyone looking at entering into an age gap relationship, she has a few pieces of advice.
She added: “Ensure you’re clear on each of your own expectations, concerns and goals.
“Respect each other’s perspectives and acknowledge the different experiences each partner brings through their life journey.
“Be prepared for external opinions, as everyone has an opinion, so be ready for judgement from friends and family.
“Most importantly, really focus on what you have in common that brings you together.”
