A model who has the “UK’s biggest lips” has revealed her life-threatening situation after having botched surgery in Turkey.
Sofia Lips, as she is known online, regularly hits the headlines due to her “obsession” with plastic surgery; spending over £500,000 in total on her transformation.
The 27-year-old, from Manchester, previously revealed that in a bid to become the “ultimate bimbo” she underwent her third breast surgery – costing £10,000.

But before that, it wasn’t all smooth sailing.
Sofia claims that her “life was on the line” following botched surgery in Turkey, which left “green gunk” leaking out of her body.
“It was such a mess,” the model told Need To Know.

“I literally nearly died as it got so bad.
“The surgery itself went fine, but as soon as I arrived home, the nightmare began.
“I had a burning sensation that was unbearable, followed by swelling.
“As I looked down, there was green gunk all over my bandages from where I was leaking.
“I didn’t know what was going on – and I worried my life was on the line.”
Sofia, who went for the procedure in December 2022, forked out £6,000 to go from 450cc to 800cc implants.

When arriving at the clinic, everything was carried out as usual, and so the model had no concerns.
The next day, she flew back home and straight away rushed to hospital.
She said: “As I arrived, they told me the news I was dreading; it was sepsis.
“Straight away, I was admitted and had to stay for a week while I received treatment to help get rid of the infection.
“To ensure I would survive, they told me I needed to take the left implant out.
“I refused, as I I didn’t want to lose my perky breasts that I had paid so much, and had gone through so much, to have.

“Thankfully, as I started to respond to the antibiotics and slowly got better, the infection soon went away.”
After weeks in hospital, Sofia was determined to not let this setback stop her from achieving the look she had been dreaming about.
In January 2023, she went to a different clinic in Turkey and received 1050cc – the biggest silicone implants made – and now, she’s really happy with her breasts.

She hopes to share her story to raise awareness, especially as a recent analysis on ScienceDirect reported that 75% of surgeries carried out in Turkey end with complications.
But, despite the harrowing ordeal, it’s not stopped her from going under the knife again.
Sofia added: “I’m planning on having liposuction in a few weeks, but I love being able to change myself.
“I want to be my own creation.
“It was scary and one of the worst things I have ever been through; but I made it out alive.
“I was too embarrassed to share my story before, as I worried what people would think – especially as I’ve had more surgery since – but it’s so important to talk about.
“Always research, look at reviews from reputable people, and never go for any surgery because it’s cheap.
“Now, I love my boobs, but I want them even bigger.”
