A British man living in Benidorm has shared shocking footage of the “scary” local flooding.
Darren Carrier, originally from Middlesborough, has been living in Spain for the past couple of years.
The 48-year-old was stunned by the recent flash floods in the region, taking to TikTok to document the weather event for his 280,000 followers.

In a clip filmed yesterday (4 November), showing the town “flooded again” with apocalyptic-looking scenes, Darren is in a bar enjoying a beer.
He pans around to show other tourists and locals having a drink from a covered outdoor seating area, while the storm rages on nearby.
The post garnered two million views, and in the background Darren can be heard saying “up the Benidorm”, apparently unphased by the weather.
As he exits the bar, he shows other areas in the town flooded – including worrying scenes on the beach.
One person commented: “Looks more like Blackpool.”
“Very sad I think we need to start taking our wellies on holiday,” another viewer said.
Someone else added: “But us Brits still make it to the pub!”
“Crazy times,” said another viewer.
Another user wrote: “This is so sad.”
A second video, which also features on Need To Know, was filmed on Sunday (3 November). In the clip, water can be seen gushing down a local street, flooding the road as drivers attempt to pass through it.
Darren wrote: “This is scary.”
Another video appears to show sewage bubbling out of a drain and travelling down the street.
