An ex-mayor has had some of her earnings which she acquired through modelling seized.
Cathy Barriga announced that she would begin focusing on creating adult content.
The move came after the 51-year-old was placed under house arrest in October.
Barriga is currently under investigation for alleged crimes of treasury fraud, and falsification of public instruments.

Tomás Vodanovic, who is the current mayor of Maipú, Chile, has now achieved a new victory as a plaintiff in the case against her.

The Ninth Guarantee Court of Santiago accepted the municipality’s request for seizure to retain any profits that Barriga had made through her content.
A petition was presented to the court requesting the seizure of the funds to take place.
This was filed by lawyers José Pedro Silva and Marcos Contreras on behalf of the commune led by Tomás Vodanovic.
They pointed to Barriga ’s presence on the platform known as Onfayer, where she raised more than $7 million on her first day alone.

In addition, the jurists pointed to the status of the former mayor as accused.
They also add that the money acquired by Barriga through her modelling could be used to compensate for the damage caused and retained to ensure such compensation.
The lawyers also state that the petition seeks to ensure that she will repair the damages in the event of a civil conviction.

For the duration of the investigation into Barriga, this court order shall be in place.
This means that the Onfayer platform must retain Barriga’s earnings for the time being.
The measures seek to guarantee the effectiveness of the sentence at the time it is handed down, given that a long time could pass before the investigation comes to a conclusion.
