But Lin only had his pants on from the waist down.
When rescuers arrived after receiving a report, Lin was standing on the back of the car, wearing his underwear and a black jacket.
They used floating water ropes, and torpedo buoys to help him.
In videos and images, rescuers can be seen pulling the uninjured man from the vehicle.
The sports car was then pulled from the water by a truck with a crane.

As a precaution, he was sent to the hospital for observation but he was unscathed.
The car which crashed into the sea is owned by Lin’s father, who is a retired executive of a large enterprise, as reported by Need To Know.

Reports of the crash came in around 7pm, in Dongshih Township, a rural area in Chiayi County, Taiwan.
The police will be investigating the cause of the landing into the sea and investigate whether it involved driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs.
