A soap actress has passed away of breast cancer aged just 49.
Sandra Reyes died at her home surrounded by loved ones yesterday (Dec 1).
The Colombian star’s passing was confirmed by her manager, Claudia Flores.

Sandra, who defined herself as a “hippie”, reportedly refused chemotherapy treatment due to her philosophy on life.
She recently moved to the country with her only son to grow their own food and be in constant contact with nature.

Her cousin, Nicolás Reyes, said she was surrounded by her family members when she passed away.
She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on the farm she owned.
With a career spanning three decades, Sandra is best known for her role as Dr. Paula Dávila in the telenovela ‘Pedro El Escamoso’.
She also starred in the 90s TV series ‘Clase Aparte’ and ‘La Mujer del Presidente’.

In recent years, Sandra starred in ‘Cartel de los Sapos’, ‘El Laberinto’ and ‘Cuando Vivas Conmigo’.
In 2024, she played the mother of road racing cyclist, Rigoberto Urán, in the biopic ‘Rigo’.
She had been battling breast cancer prior to her passing at 49 years of age.
Stars of Latin film and TV have paid tribute to the soap star, as reported by Need To Know.
Actress, Alina Lozano, said: “One of the greats has left us.

“We saw each other seven months ago and I never thought it was going to be goodbye.
Argentine actor, Javier Gómez, said: “Such indelible memories, what a huge loss.
“You left us too soon, my dear Sandra.”
The Ministry of Culture called Sandra “one of the most emblematic figures of Colombian television”.
