She passed away at the Ren Ci Nursing Home in the island-state of Singapore.

Lin originally came from Fujian in China but moved to Singapore when she was 16 years old.
Her partner died of liver cancer when she was 50 years old, leaving her to bring up their 10 children on her own.
She never remarried after her husband’s passing.
When her children learned that the end was near, they rushed to be by her side at the nursing home.
Her daughter Cai Xiuduan, 67, said the family was very poor during her childhood.
In the years leading up to her father’s death, she said they would often borrow food from their neighbours.
Lin also never relied upon her husband’s family for help, instead turning to farming and odd jobs to support her six boys and four girls.
Cai, who is the seventh of the 10 children, said: “After my dad passed away, my mother, who came to Singapore alone before getting married, did not rely on my father’s family.
“She worked on the farm every day and also looked for opportunities to do part-time jobs.”
Lin grew vegetables and reared chickens at their home while also carrying out a part-time job at a clothes factory.
When her eldest four children were able to start working, they helped their younger siblings to continue studying.
Most of them had to leave high school to assist with the family’s economic constraints.
Their situation improved in the 1980s when they moved into a council flat, as reported by Need To Know.
This allowed Lin to start making yearly trips back to her hometown in China.
Cai said her mum adored these visits, often staying for six weeks at a time to see her Chinese relatives.
She stated: “My mother was strong-willed and kindhearted.
“She raised us all by herself over the last few decades, and she suffered a lot.
“My mum never remarried, and she only wanted us to have a good standard of living.
“We all admire her very much.”
