An influencer claims to have been uninvited from Christmas dinner because she is single.
Marina Smith has nearly one million followers online, where she shares tidbits from her daily life, as well as her modelling career.
But while the 34-year-old isn’t low on male attention, finding a long-term relationship hasn’t proven easy.

Shockingly, Marina claims her friends have decided against including her for their annual Christmas celebration – because she hasn’t got a plus one.

And she believes it may be down to her looks.
“I’ve been banned from Christmas dinner because the women think I’ll steal their men,” Marina told Need To Know.
“They’re worried I might tempt their husbands and boyfriends.”

And the former Miss BumBum winner found the information out in a shocking manner.
She said: “The boyfriend of one of my friends told me that a WhatsApp group had been created.
“And I wasn’t in it.
“He said that in the group chat, my friends were discussing their concerns about my presence at the dinner.
“Even considering the possibility of not inviting me due to the fear that my beauty and single status would attract unwanted attention from their husbands and boyfriends.”

She has been single since the beginning of the year.
She said: “My last relationship didn’t end well, after the breakup, my ex-boyfriend even charged me for a café bill we shared during the relationship.
“He always liked to split everything.
“Sharing expenses wasn’t a problem, but it reached a point where it became exhausting.
“So it only lasted eight months.”
But she has spent past Christmas’s alone before.

She said: “I’m very selective about the men I get involved with.
“I’m not in a rush, and I’m not a needy woman.”
But that doesn’t stop Marina, from São Paulo, Brazil, from being devastated with her friends.
She said: “Being single already limits my outings and trips with friends, because they go out with their partners now.
“But now me being single and beautiful is now an insecurity for them!
“Anyway, I think I would feel out of place, so I’m glad to know this now rather than the day before Christmas.”

But, the influencer has said that she respects other people’s relationships and that the makeup and clothes she chooses to wear are always for herself, never for others.
She said: “I dress to feel good… the problem isn’t with me.
“It’s with the men who think I am ‘too beautiful to be real’.”
Despite the conflicts and insecurities surrounding her image, Marina claims she will not let this affect her Christmas.
She said: “I hope they don’t change their minds and invite me, because the answer is no!

“I intend to confront them and tell them a few truths.
“I used to trust my friends blindly, but apparently, they didn’t trust me.
“It’s a shame because they’re going to lose the best friend they could have had.
“And no, I never made advances toward their partners.
“I’m a respectful woman, especially toward their relationships. I think it was jealousy on their part.
“At this point I’d rather spend Christmas alone at home.
“Yes, I’m a beautiful woman, but that is not a reason for anyone to leave me out.”
