She was in a stable condition as she recovered from the surgery under medical supervision.
But just over an hour later, her condition suddenly deteriorated.

Helen suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed from the private cosmetic surgery clinic in Castelfranco Veneto, near Venice, Italy, to a local hospital.
She spent five days in a coma before dying on 10 September last year, as reported by Need To Know.
Helen, from nearby Cittadella, had no known prior health issues and the procedure was considered low-risk.

The Treviso Public Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into her death and named her surgeon and anaesthetist as suspects.
According to reports, investigators believe her cardiac arrest may have been triggered by a paradoxical reaction leading to cardiac stress.
They believe the reaction may have been caused by the powerful painkiller Sufentanil in combination with residual anaesthesia.

The Sufentanil use was discovered in a phone call on 7 September between a nurse at the clinic and the hospital.
But the painkiller doesn’t appear in the medical records seized from the clinic and the investigators are now trying to work out why.
