An influencer thought she had fallen out of love with her husband – but she was actually just going through menopause.
Carmen Reis hit headlines in the past after revealing she was ditching makeup and filler despite forking out £300,000 on surgeries.
The 47-year-old went through a radical glow down inspired by Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and says she has never felt better.
But the popular influencer, who has over 118,000 followers, has now revealed a bizarre symptom of going through menopause – which typically starts between the ages of 45 and 55.
She thought she didn’t love her husband anymore.
“I noticed my libido was decreasing,” Carmen, from Brazil, told Need To Know.

“I really started to feel different towards my husband.
“So I thought something was wrong and decided to see a doctor to better understand what was happening.
“I thought I didn’t love my husband anymore, but it was menopause
“We’ve been together for 20 years.
“We’ve always had a good connection, so the changes caught me by surprise.
“My doctor explained that it’s common at this stage of life due to hormonal changes.

“He also reassured me that there are ways to manage it and that I wasn’t alone in this experience.”
The doctor also offered Carmen some options.
She said: “The doctor suggested a few approaches, including lifestyle changes and possible hormonal treatments.
“He also recommended ongoing follow-ups to monitor my wellbeing.
“I was confused as I was defying stereotypes about female sexuality in midlife.

“Contrary to what many believe, my libido had only increased with age.
“And now, I’m learning something completely different.
“It’s a big life change.”
Carmen now she plans on “naturally” improving her lifestyle and feels a lot better after speaking to her doctor.

She said: “I’m investing in healthy habits like balanced eating and exercising, as well as rediscovering ways to strengthen my connection with my husband.
“Today, I feel much more relieved to understand what was happening.
“Knowing that menopause is a natural phase and that there are ways to deal with it has given me more confidence and motivation to move forward.”
Carmen said she wanted to share her story in case any women were going through the same.

She said: “I’m here to inspire and show that there’s no limit to dreaming.
“What matters is determination and the will to make it happen.
“I want to show that it’s possible to feel confident and beautiful with healthy choices.”
