The inventor of a sex toy has warned that his product may pose a “risk to the human race” – expressing concerns that a “masturbation epidemic” could accelerate population decline.
Brian Sloan, who created the Autoblow – a male pleasure device that syncs with adult videos – last year, is becoming increasingly worried about its “addictive” effects.
The toy works by synchronising with adult films, “tricking” users’ brains into perceiving that the actions happening to the actors are happening to them.

It is also compatible with VR porn.
Sloan says that video sync usage among some of his customers is so high that he believes he is contributing to an “epidemic” of high-tech masturbation addiction.
As a result, he has added warning labels inspired by cigarette packaging, reports Need To Know.

The warning reads: “Overuse with synced pornographic videos may be addictive and impair your ability to form and enjoy real-life relationships.”
The message appears on the front of the Autoblow packaging, accompanied by an image of a man with his head in his hands.
Sloan said:
“At first, I thought our synced porn feature was harmless fun, but when we noticed that 15% of our users were spending more than an hour a day connected – with some sessions lasting several hours – I realised that, for some men, this experience shifted from a fun and novel way to masturbate to one that opened dopamine floodgates they may find impossible to close.
“I still intend to continue providing the best experiences for Autoblow users, but for the first time in my 16 years of selling male masturbation machines, I now feel a responsibility to warn men to use this new technology with care.
“I entered the adult industry to help men feel their best, not to turn them into depressed and anxious zombies who lose interest in real-life partners.
“Additionally, I have real concerns about how this technology could accelerate human population decline.”
Sloan previously launched other unconventional adult products, including the Autoblow Decoy Safe – a home safe that doubles as a giant sex toy in a bizarre bid to deter would-be thieves from stealing valuables.

The company also released the first AI-powered sex toy – a hands-free ‘mind control’ device that connects to brain waves using an electroencephalogram (EEG) to operate.
