An influencer claims to spend £1,400 a day on bodyguards just to go shopping because of crazed fans.
Kine Chan, who has 883,000 followers on Instagram, is now accompanied by Patrick and Thiago when she’s running errands, browsing for new clothes or even catching a show.
The 23-year-old says the pair treat her like “a little sister” and even offer to carry her things.

The need for constant security came after a terrifying encounter with a gift from an anonymous fan.
“There was a camera inside the teddy bear – right in the eye,” she told Need To Know.

“After this, I was telling friends and other influencers to be careful and to not open any suspicious boxes alone or near your face.
“I decided I needed to prioritise security.
“I will now always be accompanied by private security guards.
“With the exposure I have, I never know who is watching me or with what intentions.
“I feel more at ease and safe when I’m accompanied.”

Kine doesn’t care about the expense because it’s an “investment in peace of mind”.
She said: “They are highly trained professionals whom I trust completely.
“We have a great relationship, they treat me like a little sister and often like to help me carry my things.”
The influencer claims she is criticised online for having security but stresses that it is a “necessity”.
She said: “They don’t know what I’ve been through.

“We live in a world where our image is accessible to everyone.
“Anyone can recognise you and, unfortunately, not all have good intentions.
“Therefore, whenever I go out alone in public, whether for an outing or a show, I prefer to be accompanied by Patrick and Thiago.
“It’s not about living in fear but about adopting measures that ensure our safety.
“Accepting gifts from strangers or trusting blindly can put us at risk.
“It’s better to prevent than to regret.”

Kine has hit headlines in the past for selling used chewing gum and vagina-scented candles.
She also once claimed to have been banned from boarding a flight when she turned up an airport wearing only a black bikini, turquoise wig and black sandals.

The content creator appeared at Navegantes Airport in Brazil dressed as Rebecca – a character from the Netflix anime show Cyberpunk Edgerunners, who is a fan favourite for her unique and revealing outfits.
